LAST  STEAM  TRAIN  TO  BURRA
   19th September 1992.


621 hauled the last Steam train to Burra on the 19 September 1992. Run-bys were done at Hamley Bridge, Riverton and Manoora and leaving Burra. The train was piloted back to Adelaide by Steamranger's Alco 958, as the 621 could not be turned at Burra.

Diesel 958 ran Light Engine ahead of 621 to Burra.
As there was no operative turntable at Burra 958 was placed front of 621 which ran in reverse back to Adelaide.
