The move comes just two months after the completion of re-sleepering
works on the Gawler line.
The line was closed for seven months during the works, causing
disruption to commuters and local businesses.
Further work on both lines, which will include installation of
poles and wires, will be put on hold until 2015/16.
The electrification of the Noarlunga line from Adelaide to
Seaford will continue and will be completed by late 2013.
