The planned route south of Noarlunga Centre

Should be an interesting infrastructure addition this one, to cross the Onkaparinga River, the line will have to start from up high above the river and River Road... Must go find the actual take off point for the river crossing and go to the southern side and take a few in the before and after series of shots.

The Rail Viaduct has extended well into the Onkaparinga River Valley since my last set of photo’s five months ago in November 2011, when the rail viaduct is completed it will cover a distance of 1.2 klms over the Onkaparinga Valley.

UPDATE

Caught the start of the installation of the first Catenary Poles on the Seaford Extension today  taken from Goldsmith Drive Bridge Looking North towards Noarlunga Centre RWS. Was rather hard trying to get the camera lens in between the steel mesh.

Also few photo’s of the Seaford viaduct while at Noarlunga today, it shows the southern span has extended about one pylon closer to the centre red location pylon than 5 week ago on the 15th of April and is closer to the centre than the Northern Span.

UPDATE

Travelled to Noarlunga this morning to see what new work has been done on the Seaford line Extension in the last two & half months since  last visited on the 15th September this year. On arriving I found out that most of the entire length of the line has Catenary Poles erected, with the two Railway Stations "Seaford Meadows" and "Seaford" nearing completion and the Road-Rail-Ballast-Train Ballasting the remainder of the non-ballasted track.
