  ANOTHER  VISIT  TO  BROKEN  HILL

25th October 2013

The visit to the Broken Hill Railway Station started at 4.20pm knowing the arrival time of 6AS8 GSR-Pass, the Indian Pacific on the ARTC operations schedule was at 4.26pm. After spending a bit of time on the platform I notice inside the station, a board with the Indian Pacific arrival time at 5.10pm the train arrived at 5.00pm exactly. Once the Indian Pacific arrived I unexpectedly noticed a crew change on front engine NR25 with DL39 the second engine. Walking along the platform there was a station-hand loading and unloading luggage from the station's luggage room to the luggage van located near the centre of the IP carriages.

After taken the former Narrow Gauge site at Cockburn went across the road south side to check out the Standard Gauge Station once there, the station was constructed shed like on a platform with a track disused by the platform next to main line. The Station at Cockburn has no Station name sign only a good size sign stating that Australian Rail Track Corporation equipment housed inside this zincalum constructed building
